Wow, I suck. I haven’t posted anything since January’s 12 of 12. Am I the only one that seems to thik life is just zooming by?? Well here is my 12 of 12 for February. This is Chad’s project and this is also the last year he will be doing this. So if you have thought about participating, now would be the time.
The 12th was a Friday… a very hectic Friday at work, plus I overslept. Ugh. That is why you will see a clump of shots in the morning before work and the rest are clumped in the evening. So basically these are all shots around the house, which explains all the animal and kid shots. I hope you enjoy.
7:08 AM Treats for daycare.

7:11 AM Nice boots, eh?

Five years ago, Chad Darnell started the 12 of 12. I think this is my 4th year, but I’m not sure and too lazy to look. The concept (all Chad’s) is to take 12 pictures on the 12 of every month and submit the ling to Chad’s site. There he compiles all the links from around the world… a lot of work, no doubt.
Chad has announced that this year is his last. That makes me sad, but I totally understand. I am grateful for Chad’s contribution.
Without further ado… my 12 of 12.
6:00 am - Wet hair - just from the shower.

6:11 am - dry hair - apparently it takes me 11 minutes to dry my hair… it sure seems longer than that.

6:23 am - Letting the puppies out.

7:00 am - Hunter eating a banana, just before we leave for the morning.

7:03 am - Coffee for the road, trying to break the Starbucks habit.

5:17 pm - the view from my office window.

5:18 pm - the view from the other side of the office… hey… I’m know… I’m stretching the 12 out here, and the sunset DID look cool.

5:22 pm - News truck outside work… never a good sign.

5:43 pm - It’s bowling night for me and school night for Kev, so Grandma is on Hunter duty. Grandma and Hunter like to go to McD’s.

5:48 pm - New Motorola Droid phone *random* p.s. LOVE this phone!!

6:25 pm - Bowling alley

8:49 pm - What really happens at bowling. (that’s my buddy Dar)

Thanks for checking it out. Tuesday’s are rough days to do the 12 of 12, but I guess you got a real look into my day. Don’t forget to check out Chad’s site.

On the 12th of every month people from all over the globe take pictures. Post 12 of them on the Internet and send a link to Chad who hosts all the links… Chad’s brain child. This month’s 12 of 12 was on a Saturday… a pretty full Saturday.
Here we go:
10:00 AM Relatively early start for us on a Saturday. Here is the frozen car we are waiting to thaw before getting into.

10:00 AM (be patient… there are 3 at 10… I take pic fast! lol) Hunter playing in the snow… I mean ice. Now is a good time to teach him (and his toes) the difference between snow and ice.

10:00 AM The sun coming thru the frozen trees is so pretty. This is the side of the front yard.

11:31 AM Sally’s Beauty supply… where I get my “fix” hehehe get it fix… Before Sally’s we went to breakfast with Grandma.

11:31 AM Hunter acting up with a sucker…this is an over the sholder shot from the front seat.

1:33 PM Have you ever seen a lazier dog? Of coure he does have a bad knee… but really….

2:14 PM Our local fire department had a little Christmas party for the kids. Free Cookies!

2:14 PM Hunter and a fire truck.

4:07 PM Hunter helping me make cookies. He is a very good helper, he unwrapped most of the hersey kisses and didn’t eat one.

4:07 PM First he sorted all the red ones….

5:22 PM Cookies!!

8:35 PM Some adult fun, Kev and I went to a Texas Hold’em party.

Well there it is… thanks for checking it out. I maybe doing a year recap, I don’t know how many 12 of 12 I missed…

Today I am posting my 12 of 12. This is Chad’s deal and it’s really very cool. You take 12 pictures on the 12 of every month and then Chad puts all the links in one post on his blog. It’s very cool to look through people’s days from all over the world… you really should head over and check some out.
On to my day… it was a day off for me.
8:35 AM Frost on a plant hanger, I thought it looked cool.

8:36 AM Two right feet… my foot prints in the frost on the deck.

10:50 AM Just left Starbucks and now I’m on my way into Borders to just look around (yea, right).

12:53 PM Just leaving the hair cut place - new do pic later.

6:03 PM The love of my life…

6:03 PM The men of my life, on our way into Chili’s for dinner.
I do love this shot of Dad and Bug.
7:29 PM Here you go… new do

7:33 PM It’s dark out so now I bring you my last desparate shots to make sure I have 12 for the day… here’s Willow.

8:16 PM facebookin’ (told you I was desparate)

8:31 PM Hunter watching TV in his favorite pose.

9:10 PM Froggin’

9:58 PM Bloggin… nAbLOpOmO calls

Well there you have it, my day yesterday.

This is the placeholder for my October 12 of 12. I took the shots, but haven’t had a chance to upload them. I had hoped to at least be able to make this a 1 of 12… but time has just gotten away from me. I should have my 12 of 12 posted by the end of Thursday… hopefully.
Either way, there are plenty more entries (and I’m sure they have pictures in there’s) lol … please go to Chad’s site and check them out. Accept no imitations.
Ok, so here are my shots. I’m not putting times… sorry.
Hunter is very much a morning person. This was a little after 7 in the morning and it was the beginning of a very enthusiastic version of “Stand up and shout if you love my Lord”.

A cheesy smile before daycare.

Starbucks for me before I go get my tire fixed.

Ok, this is the third car repair place; 1st didn’t have the tire I needed, 2nd fixed my tire but then my brakes went out so this was the 3rd and most expensive, I have to have my back brakes completely re-done. Needless to say I never made it to work today. grrr.

“Tree pretty, fire bad” {Buffy} lol

Seriously, you’ve got to love a Michigan fall.

TV time.

It’s like he doesn’t even see me.

Rock, paper, scissors… I know, can you believe he gets it. Actually it was Hunter’s idea.

Tyler-Y

Rockin’ it out with his son.

Lastly, a few minutes of “Mom’s game” before bed.

Sorry it took me so long to post these shots. I hope you enjoyed them.

Holy crap… is it September already??
Now is it me or is this year just zooming by? Well by now you should know how this goes; 12 pictures on the 12th of the month. Chad Darnell is the brain child and one who puts in all the work with linkage and whatnot. Please click over and check out some of the other 12 of 12 participants… hell why not join in yourself next month.
Here’s my Saturday (late starting, but hell, it IS Saturday);
11:27 AM Out to check out the garden and I find our wonderful jalepano plant has no leaves… I guess the deer don’t like the peppers.

11:33 AM – Hunter is playing chase with the dogs, only this time it’s actually working. Running with a bisquit in one hand and the ball in the other is a great motivator for dogs. Lol

11:35 AM – dirty toes.

11:46 AM – Garden goods, including all the leafless jalepanos.

1:01 PM – We are at the cider mill. I haven’t seen this smile before, but I suspect I will see it again.

1:19 PM – Feeding the ducks. Living at the cider mill, I’m surprised the ducks are fatter… of course the cider mill did just open.

1:20 PM – Hunter feeding the ducks with Dad.

BONUS SHOT taken by Dad. More photographic proof of the exact same eye color.

1:22 PM Feeding the brave duck from a rock. This is the last shot before the duck took food out of Hunter’s hand… I’m still not sure he was okay with that.

4:19 PM – Making salsa with garden fresh ingrediants. (thanks Kayte!!) Oh, ignore the onion in the bag… hehehe

7:32 PM – Outside for a little bit of baseball.

7:35 PM – Helping Dad set up stuff for the bonfire. Hunter is such a little helper.

8:02 PM – I took several shots of the bonfire… man can you find creepy things in those shots. But I just liked the way this one looked… besides the one with the skull face just creeped me out. LOL

Hope you enjoyed a look at my Saturday with the family. I have to admit they are way more fun than work days.
If all else fails… I will at least see you next month. LOL

Better late than never. Chad’s idea, accept no imitations. Click the link and go check out everyone else’s day too.
7:08 AM – My morning cup o’ joe.

7:24 AM – “Bye Mom” the face I leave every day when I go to work.

5:58 PM – Leaving work

6:55 PM – Reading after dinner

Ok, so the rest of these photos are from my yard walk in the evening… they are taken only moments apart. Sorry for the boring material… this is all I can muster the energy to do after work lately… welcome to my life. LOL
7:04 PM – Brocoli

7:05 PM – cucs

7:06 PM – Onions and weeds

7:07 PM – Corner of no where

7:08 PM – “Here Mr. Bunny”

7:11 PM – Pears, not ready to pick yet.

7:12 PM - Garden snacking (with bonus reflection of me).

7:14 PM - Kitty for Sale

Sorry for the brevity, life just seems to be like that lately.

Even tho’ July 12th has come and gone I am still going to post my 12 of 12. It’s Chad’s thing and we do love him for it. Make sure you go and check him out.
We were at our place in Gladwin on Sunday, so this month you get Sheryl chillin’ and hangin’ with the fam
8:49AM The morning view from the deck… this NEVER gets old.

9:51 AM Bug the Badass, as my dear friend Meghan says.

10:15 AM Sidetracked on the way to breakfast. Looking for some hunting property, there was a “For Sale” sign down this trail… I wonder how much teepee’s are going for now?

1:21 PM Hunter (from above) and I going into the yard to play.

1:31 PM I didn’t last long in the yard(hehe), Mom eating a fresh tomato… man they were yummy!!

1:37 PM See? Don’t they look yummy?

2:11 PM The view of the water from the back of the boat. I thought it would make a cool texture for some pics.

2:38PM Hunter checking out the view at the back of the boat.

3:03 PM Fishing with Dad.

3:04 PM My man and the proud Dad.

3:10 PM Family portrait time. They may be nothing more than snapshots, but I love being able to look back shots and enjoy the memories again (except for the memories of my hair – ugh!)

3:20 PM Hunter driving the boat.

Bonus shot: Not mandatory but I’ll include it anyway. Me and Hunter as taken by my wonderful husband.

That wraps up July’s 12 of 12. Holy guacamole is the summer flying by.
I also spent a wonderful evening with some friends reminiscing about our friend Brian, I will try to have those shots up in a couple of days.

Seriously, you should know the deal by now. Chad, the gracious host can be found here, as well as numerous other 12 of 12 participants.
This June 12th was my fifth anniversary. Welcome to my day:
8:17 AM - Yea… I’m late for work, what else is new. It’s casual day so I dug out my old Bob Probert jersey to show my support for the Wing’s game seven in the championship series.

8:43 AM - Several co-workers volunteered to help clean up the weed beds around work. So I stopped to take a few pics. You know, generally, people don’t seem to like having their picture taken.

5:21 PM - I heard a cool song on Sirius Alt Nation so I took a picture to remember the names.

5:31 PM - Picked Hunter up at daycare. His first question to me was : “Mom, what you got?” I try to have some fruit for him when I pick him up… and he knows it.

6:06 PM - This was cute picture I captured of Hunter, but it was terribly out of focus so I did the best I could with photoshop.

6:05 PM - Sharing french fries with Grandma. Grandma came over to watch Hunter so Kev and I could go out to dinner.

6:12 PM - I was setting up the tripod so I could take a nice picture of Kevin and I on our anniversary. Of course Kev had to be Kev… yo yo yo! Apparently I married a PMF (punk mother-fuc.. .uh.. you get the idea).

6:14 PM - I am thrilled with this picture of Kev and I. Can’t wait to hang it in our home. Kev didn’t like the vignette on this one, so I took it off.

8:05 PM - Leaving Longhorn. As I was taking this picture another couple was pulling in the parking lot… the guy asked if I was a private investigator. LOL

8:08 PM - Ok, so it’s getting later in the day and I know I don’t have enough pics… so here is Kevin’s dream car… a Grand National.

9:17 PM - We went to Game Works to play a few video games. Every game I touched had credits on it still… it was weird.

10:12 PM - Home watching the last hockey game of the year. It didn’t really end the way we had hoped. I think my Probert jersey is jinxed.

Obviously, I have been doing some Photoshop homework. Playing is really the easiest way for me to learn. I’ve been collecting tips and techniques from podcasts, you-tube, books and other online crap. But you can listen or read all day, but for me, it just doesn’t sink in until I actually do it. I think I have the vignette thing down pat.
Go and check out some other 12 of 12’s, they really are cool.
June is uber-busy for me, I will try to keep up on crap-o-rama.

It’s that time of the month again… lol. Time for Chad’s 12 of 12. It’s a cool concept and you should go and check it out the other 12 of 12’s if you get a chance.
I warned you yesterday, the pictures were lacking. But I was able to make up for it last night. Honestly, there is nothing like spring in Michigan.
7:30 AM – I was chasing Hunter around the house with the camera… literally. This is the one shot I got that wasn’t so blurry. Even tho’ a couple of the blurry ones were kind cool.

5:46 PM – Flowers from a planter hanging in the back yard. Cool colors together.

5:47 PM – Even dead flowers can make a cool picture.

5:47 PM – I love finding hearts in unusual places. Here is a heart in the freshly tilled dirt of my flower garden. I hope it’s a sign of a garden to be filled with love.

5:52 PM – Kev making dinner… tacos, yummy.

6:40 PM – This is the poppy plant that we bought last weekend to plant in one of my flower gardens. It was frosty out these past couple of nights, so it’s living inside for right now. I love the colors of the flowers.
6:42 PM – Hunter outside… of course. Actually he is playing with the bird feeder.

6:58 PM – Here is a pic of my new highlights. I’m not having the best hair day, but you get the idea. NOTE: of course it looks much better today. Lol

~*~ Yard tour begins here~*~
7:25 PM – This is a close up of the flowers on my Twisted Weeping Lavender. It really is the coolest tree.

7:30 PM – I thought the light looked cool coming thru’ the back of the pear tree.

7:30 PM – Apple blossoms. There are so many this year, it’s great. Last year a late frost killed everything off and we only had one apple on this particular tree.

7:31 PM – My multi-tasking man! Kev is pushing Hunter on the swing and playing catch with Tyler. And yes, Tyler is sticking his tongue out. LOL

There you have it. I hope you enjoyed the backyard tour. Thanks to Chad for hosting this monthly exercise.
