NaBloPoMo… take 4 (I think)

Dad: “Hunter? Do you know what today is?”

Hunter: “what?”

Dad: “It’s trick or treat day.”

Hunter: “WOOO WHOOO! {arms flying in the air in celebration} YEA!!!”

Hunter: “Dad?…what’s trick or treat?”

LOL

Beauty and the beast
Beauty and the beast. Hunter is lion and the way he was holding his tail was cracking my up. He went trick or treating with his cousin Katie.

Welcome to nAbLOpOmO aka: National Blog Posting Month
I believe this is my fourth year participating. It’s sad that peer-pressure is what can make me blog everyday. Last year I was unable to post every day, but that is mostly because we went up north and there was not Internet connection.

If you’d like to participate, go here. You can participate or just look around, there are thousands of blogs that register. It’s a great place to find new blogs.

NaBloPoMo - day 1

Well I’m doing it again… NaBloPoMo. This will be my third time. I enjoy the satisfaction of setting the goal of blogging every day and accomplishing it. But NaBloPoMo or not, you had to know you were going to get Halloween pictures.

This year Hunter was a dragon. We went to my best friend’s house and the kids all went out together. Obviously, this was Hunter’s first real trick-or-treating experience, but Katrina and Dylan were more than willing to show him the ropes. He did great. And he hasn’t even complained about not getting any of the candy.

Well he did get to eat a bag of chips and a sucker (which he requested). But I honestly don’t think he knows what he’s missing since he has never had any candy, but a sucker. The longer I can keep him in this mindset, the better.

I absolutely love the look on Hunter’s face in this first picture. I think it was the first time he saw Dylan actually in his Clone Trouper mask.
Priceless

I also love this photo… it really takes me back to my own trick-or-treating days. Plus, how cute are Hunter’s wings?
Trick-or-treat

Lastly, I leave you with a yard decoration that I thought was very well done and very cool looking.
Cool

I hope everyone had a safe and happy Halloween.

See you tomorrow.

Happy Halloween

In the beginning…
In the beginning...

Then there was man with a wicked smile and a knife…
Dad

His son (you could tell it was his son, they had the same smile)…

Trying on the smile

His son had guts…

It takes guts

Now I could lie and say Hunter carved this pumpkin… but I suck a lying. I don’t know how long it has been since Kev carved a pumpkin, but I can tell you, the last time for me was a pumpkin carving contest at a bar… I’m sure I was drunk. And? It was easily over eight years ago. With all this preamble… I give you … our pumpkin:

Halloween, 2008

In it’s full lite glory…
