I’m sitting here watching Phineas and Ferb with my son. Regular posting will continue tomorrow.

Until tomorrow..

…quality posts are going to be really hard to come by.
sorry.
So I guess I will brag about my kid. He got his first report card yesterday. Yea, I know… he’s only three… but he got his first report card. First I am going to point out that I realize they wouldn’t use conventional grading (a,b,c, etc.) but using a system where “E” stands for excellent kinda freaked me out. I open his report card and I see mostly E’s and I’m thinking wtf…
Anyway, he’s doing well. But his card indicated that he needed some improvement “N” in saying his name. This was kind of surprising, so Kev was going to ask about what constitutes needs improvement. Lately, anytime we’ve asked or heard anyone ask him what his name his he fires off: “Hunter Michael Sta-blahblahblah”.
Kev asked the teacher this morning about it and was informed that sometimes when they ask Hunter his name he says: “Hunter on the farm” or “Hunter in space”. Now I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t say that is necessarily a “needs improvement” issue. He should be getting an “E” in smart-ass-ology, but I don’t guess they truly appreciate his natural talent. Sad, really.
There was a very nice narative about my son. Under comments it stated:
“He always comes in bright and happy. He has a way of making friends who are sad happy.”
Warms my soul.
By the way… the chipper morning person thing? He gets it from Grandma.
…until tomorrow…

nAbLOpOmO day 3 …ummm, I mean day 4.
Man, look at all the cool shiz-it you would be missing if I hadn’t signed up for this thing again.
Dad: “Hunter? Do you know what today is?”
Hunter: “what?”
Dad: “It’s trick or treat day.”
Hunter: “WOOO WHOOO! {arms flying in the air in celebration} YEA!!!”
Hunter: “Dad?…what’s trick or treat?”
LOL

Beauty and the beast. Hunter is lion and the way he was holding his tail was cracking my up. He went trick or treating with his cousin Katie.
Welcome to nAbLOpOmO aka: National Blog Posting Month
I believe this is my fourth year participating. It’s sad that peer-pressure is what can make me blog everyday. Last year I was unable to post every day, but that is mostly because we went up north and there was not Internet connection.
If you’d like to participate, go here. You can participate or just look around, there are thousands of blogs that register. It’s a great place to find new blogs.
Hunter and I were driving to daycare this morning… late as usual.
Me: “Buddy, I’m sorry I have to rush you so much in the morning, but we are going to be late.”
Hunter: “That’s okay, Mom.”
Hunter: “Mom? Let’s be friends.”
Is my kid the coolest, or what?

I have reposted this video to see if this is the cause of my missing blog column. If you posted comments, thanks and I’m sorry if they are gone now.
Work has really been sucking lately, but I don’t really want to go into it much here. I will say that I have been working crazy hours. It started back in June when my boss was let go, for cost cutting reasons. He had only held that position since the middle of February. His duties became my duties, but it was only a temporary thing. Within weeks an outside company was to be taking over his duties.
Here it is two months later, and I am still doing double duty, while that outside company juggles** around how they are going to handle this new position. (**who’s going to do it, when are they going to actually start…etc.)
This has really turned into an emotional roller coaster for me. I have worked full-time for this employer for over 16 years in many capacities. This has got to be the only time that I have been given a task to do (not once, but twice in the past year) and the final position was given to someone else.
So my brain tries to process this as… I’m good enough to fill in, but I’m not good enough to be the fulltime person. I’m trying to keep the negative thoughts at bay… but I am really struggling.
So much for not going into it much here…
Well, this has pretty much been the reason for the scarcity of posts here. But I am still taking pictures, how could I not? Especially since I have a new camera… yay!
I leave you with… Hunter in a tree. Isn’t that the greatest smile?

Hey, can you tell me if this shot looks dark to you? My monitor at home is calibrated, but it definitely looks dark to me at work. And honestly, a lot of my shots look too light at home. I’m probably going to have to tweak my laptop settings… it’s a new laptop… but that’s a whole different post.
Hopefully I won’t be gone so long next time.

Better late than never. Chad’s idea, accept no imitations. Click the link and go check out everyone else’s day too.
7:08 AM – My morning cup o’ joe.

7:24 AM – “Bye Mom” the face I leave every day when I go to work.

6:55 PM – Reading after dinner

Ok, so the rest of these photos are from my yard walk in the evening… they are taken only moments apart. Sorry for the boring material… this is all I can muster the energy to do after work lately… welcome to my life. LOL
7:11 PM – Pears, not ready to pick yet.

7:12 PM - Garden snacking (with bonus reflection of me).

Sorry for the brevity, life just seems to be like that lately.

My current favorite flower, sort of. This is supposed to be a “gold rush” Shasta daisy, but it looks white to me, except for a teeny bit of yellow around the center. But these flowers are so fun…

Swinging on the big swing (first time - he’s such a big boy now):

And of course, temping the sprinkler. This really was too funny.

There you have it… 2 posts… 2 days. Yep, this is how I spend my evenings. Really, who cares about work? Plus, I’m making Mom happy. Hi Mom! *waves*
June has absolutely flown by.
Work has been extremely busy and hectic. I haven’t had a chance update pictures or my blog. I had Friday off for the holiday and I took my 3 days work-free very seriously. I have spent these last 3 days getting my head out of the game.
I’ve changed my photo filing system and I spent some time working on that this weekend.
Here’s some pictures from June…
Here’s Hunter getting his certificate from K-2. June 3rd.

How is Hunter ever going to play with Tonka toys again?

My Mom enjoying the fresh air up north. June 5th

My 3 year old son, going to church with Grandma. June 14th

The best birthday present for Mr. Music.

This is by no means all of June… it was a busy month, but this is a pretty good sample.
Well, it’s back to work tomorrow. But I honestly feel pretty fresh, so hopefully I can keep a handle on my stress. I’ll try to update sooner next time.
